Project RPO delivers specialized digital hires on deadline for an entertainment company.
Company/Industry
An American entertainment company.
Challenge
Rapid team growth, a competitive digital talent market, an unknown employer brand, and unpredictable hiring demand.
Solution
An agile, end-to-end project RPO program focused on optimized attraction and white-glove candidate experience.
Result
100% of hires delivered on time, 34% sourced directly and passively, and scope expanded into APAC.
Challenge: Scaling a digital team in a highly competitive talent market.
An American entertainment company with expanding operations needed a specialized recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) partner to make strategic digital hires in the U.S. and APAC. The company planned to hire 50 to 100 producers, editors, graphic designers, and product managers, and its team was on track to grow more than 200% within a year of signing the RPO contract. Because hiring demand followed the success of its television programming, it rose and fell unpredictably. Other obstacles included:
-
- Fierce competition for digital talent in the entertainment industry, including in major markets like the Greater New York City area.
- An employer brand unknown for digital production, set against established competitors.
- A new internal talent acquisition team, after earlier struggles to fill these roles.
Solution: An agile, end-to-end project RPO program built around candidate experience.
We designed a project RPO program that could flex with the client’s changing demand. Our team:
-
- Optimized job descriptions and search engine visibility to reach in-demand digital talent.
- Prioritized candidate experience, with white-glove service to attract and engage sought-after candidates.
- Made regular site visits, meeting delivery expectations while building cultural understanding and buy-in from hiring managers and business stakeholders.
Result: Every hire in the original scope delivered on deadline.
The program also produced strong quality and sourcing outcomes:
-
- A 1.5:1 present-to-interview ratio and a 4:1 interview-to-offer ratio
- 34% of total hires came from direct, passive sourcing
- Scope expanded to include international digital hiring in APAC.
