    A leading technology distribution company was struggling with poor workforce quality and high turnover rates, reaching up to 18% — which directly impacted operational success and employee morale. The workforce was disengaged and frustrated, the company’s fill rates were slow, and employees cycled through assignments quickly — with an average order length of only 98 days.

    Kelly® partnered with the company to provide expert workforce solutions that would stabilize its operations and strengthen its workforce reliability. First, we enhanced the candidates’ recruitment and orientation experiences: focusing on behavioral and job-fit interview tactics; providing clear, upfront expectations for employee conduct; and highlighting important shift and attendance details. Then, we established weekly on-site recruiter support — which vastly improved communications between employees and management. Additionally, we
    implemented an employee recognition program that worked to boost morale and engagement.

    Result: revenue nearly doubled, with turnover cut to 8.6%

    The company has been very pleased with the measurable improvements created by our partnership. Within a year, we’ve reduced the average time-to-fill roles from 6.6 to 3.8 days. To date, we’ve placed 103 employees with the company across pick and pack, forklift, janitorial, and warehouse positions. The client had a goal of reducing turnover to 13%, and we’ve reached an impressive 8.6%: representing a 52% improvement in turnover from the previous year. The company’s revenue has nearly doubled in the past year from $358,104 to $622,170, with further growth on the horizon. The average assignment length rose from 29 to 57 days, and average order lengths increased from 98 to 114 days.
