®. The company is a title-winning NASCAR Sprint Cup Series team co-owned by Tony Stewart, three-time Sprint Cup champion, and Gene Haas, founder of Haas Automation
® —the largest CNC machine tool builder in the western world. Soon, Lisa knew her new job was the perfect fit. She loves the fact that she’s learning about the NASCAR industry, and beyond that, she loves the vibe of her company.

And our drivers are rock stars. When one of them wins, you can feel the energy ripple through the entire company!” So, how did this staff accountant end up in the racing business? After graduating from college with an accounting degree, Lisa started working for a CPA firm. However, she soon knew that she didn’t want to be a tax accountant for the rest of her life. That’s when she first contacted Kelly and was placed with a school system in the payroll department, and was eventually hired full-time. Listen to Lisa’s story in her own words. That’s when Brian, a Kelly recruiter, contacted her about a position he thought might interest her: a general staff accountant at Stewart-Haas Racing. “Brian and I developed a solid relationship on that first call,” Lisa says, “He was smart, friendly, and caring, and he understood what I was looking for.” From the moment she walked in the door at Stewart-Haas Racing, everything just felt right. Far from being the stereotypical straitlaced, exacting accountant, Lisa has outstanding interpersonal skills and a great sense of humor.
