Kelly Named a Global Champion for Supplier Diversity & Inclusion

Company earns gold award from WEConnect International
TROY, Mich. (May 6, 2022) – Kelly has been named a Global Champion for Supplier Diversity & Inclusion for the fourth consecutive year. The workforce solutions provider earned the gold recognition during the annual awards presented by WEConnect International, the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce, and Disability:IN.
The recognition was announced during a virtual awards ceremony that celebrated the honorees’ commitment to global inclusive sourcing from diverse groups including minority-, women-, LGBT- and disabled-owned businesses. Awardees in the gold category were recognized for demonstrating high-level of commitment to supplier diversity and inclusion and for exceeding the average global champions in inclusive spend, policies, and procedures.
“We are proud to once again be recognized for our commitment to building a diverse and inclusive supply chain,” said Pam Sands, vice president of product management and partnerships at Kelly. “The diversity of our suppliers allows us to provide more impactful services to clients and strengthens our ability to connect job seekers of all backgrounds with work that enriches their lives.”
Supplier diversity and inclusion is a strategic business process aimed at providing companies owned by historically underutilized diverse groups an equal opportunity to become suppliers to major corporations, governments, and multinational organizations so they can grow their businesses. WEConnect International is a global non-profit that brings large buyers together with women-owned suppliers around the world. It has conducted this one-of-a-kind survey for the past four years.
To be considered by the team of WEConnect International judges, companies submitted applications with supporting documentation. Scoring was based on a variety of factors, including senior leadership support, scope, supplier development, and percentage of global spend with diverse suppliers.
"Diverse suppliers are integral to our supply chain and create economic parity and sustainable communities,” said Duane Green, director of supplier diversity and engagement at Kelly. “We see the engagement of diverse and underrepresented suppliers as critically important to the delivery of Kelly’s world-class talent solutions, while enhancing our environmental, social and governance strategy."
In addition to being ranked as a Global Champion for Supplier Diversity & Inclusion, Kelly was recently also named one of America’s Best Employers for Diversity by Forbes and earned a perfect score on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2022 Corporate Equality Index.
