Kelly Named a Global Champion for Supplier Diversity & Inclusion
Company earns platinum award from WEConnect International
TROY, Mich. (May 15, 2023) – Kelly has been named a Top Global Champion for Supplier Diversity & Inclusion for the fifth consecutive year. The global workforce company received the highest level of recognition – platinum – for its commitment to inclusive supplier spending, policies, and procedures from WEConnect International, Disability:IN, and the National LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce.
The 2023 Top Global Champions for Supplier Diversity & Inclusion consist of some of the world’s largest corporations that have demonstrated their commitment to global inclusive sourcing from diverse groups including minority-, women-, LGBTQ- and disabled-owned businesses. Kelly is one of only 15 organizations that received the platinum award.
“We are honored to be recognized as a Top Global Champion for Supplier Diversity & Inclusion, and we salute our fellow honorees for their exceptional commitment to making equitable sourcing a priority,” said Pam Sands, vice president, diversity office. “Supplier diversity and inclusion not only provides a competitive advantage, it makes communities around the world stronger. With a diverse network of suppliers, the opportunities are truly limitless.”
“This would not be possible without the commitment of our leadership, internal partners, and the diverse and women-owned suppliers we work with to connect both suppliers and talent to opportunities around the globe,” said Duane Green, senior director of supplier inclusion, diversity and impact. “Together we breakdown systemic barriers and deliver meaningful impact.”
Supplier diversity and inclusion is a strategic business process aimed at providing companies owned by historically underutilized diverse groups an equal opportunity to become suppliers to major corporations, governments, and multinational organizations so they can grow their businesses. WEConnect International is a global non-profit that brings large buyers together with women-owned suppliers around the world. It has conducted this one-of-a-kind survey for the past five years.
To be considered by the team of WEConnect International judges, companies submitted applications with supporting documentation. Scoring was based on a variety of factors, including senior leadership support, scope, supplier development, and percentage of global spend with diverse suppliers.
“These WEConnect International Top Global Champion Award-winning multinational giants are leading the way toward more inclusive value chains,” WeConnect announced. “WEConnect International is proud to recognize their dedication and commitment to global supplier diversity and inclusion. WEConnect International will continue to promote these companies’ work to advance global supplier diversity and inclusion.”
In addition to being ranked as a Top Global Champion for Supplier Diversity & Inclusion, Kelly was recently also named America’s Best Temporary Staffing Firm, the No. 2 Professional Recruiting Firm, and one of the Best Employers for Diversity by Forbes and Statista Inc.
