Kelly Services announces expansion efforts into the information technology employment market

Global staffing provider, Kelly Services, Inc. has expanded its Australian operations with the launch of an Information Technology and Telecommunications (IT & ICT) employment division.  Kelly IT Resources, a specialty staffing division of Kelly, has opened its first office in Sydney. 

Kelly IT Resources’ maintains nearly 50 company-owned and operated offices throughout North America, Europe, and the Pacific Rim, and places more than 4,500 information technology professionals on an average workday.

The new Kelly IT Resources Australian operations will place highly qualified IT professionals in areas such as technical support, programming, web development, networks, e-commerce and project management. 

Kelly Services’ Senior Director, Operations, and Country Manager for Australia, James Bowmer said, “There is a growing market for high quality IT staffing in Australia, and Kelly IT Resources aims to become the premier supplier of information technology staff to the industry.”

The expansion of Kelly IT Resources comes at a time of rapid growth for Kelly Services, which is raising its focus on specialty staffing to supplement its generalist permanent and temporary staffing divisions.

“We are excited to be expanding our Australian operations with the addition of IT staffing to our extensive group of specialty divisions,” said Mr. Bowmer.

“The addition of Kelly IT Resources is a logical development that exploits the knowledge and expertise we have gained through working with some of the most prestigious IT companies around the world.  It will help us to provide a comprehensive service to both employees and employers in a wide range of industries,” he said.

Other Kelly Services specialty divisions that service the Australian market include Kelly Engineering Resources, Kelly Scientific Resources, Kelly Industrial, Kelly Office and Kelly Contact Centre.

This year Kelly Services celebrates 60 years of staffing, becoming one of the largest employment organisations in the world with offices in 30 countries and providing employment for nearly 700,000 employees annually.
